Keeping A Relationship

Keeping a Relationship

It's best to wait for the one you want ...... than settle for the oneavailable.

Best to wait for the one you love than one who's around.

Best to wait for the right one because life's too short to be wasted on just someone.

An African proverb state,

"Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one
eye."

Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem make you blind to warning signs.

Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren't really that important.

Once you decide to commit to someone, over time, his or her flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious.

If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you've got to learn how to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you.

You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths.

You are two unique individual children of God who have decided to share a life together.

Neither one of you is perfect, but are you perfect for each other?

Do you bring out the best in each other?

Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare and control? What do you bring to the relationship?

Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain? You can't take someone to the altar to alter him or her.

You can't make someone love you or make someone stay.

If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life" you won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain.

Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving and lasting relationship.

Seeking status, sex, and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship.

What keeps a relationship strong?

* communication

* intimacy

* a sense of humor

* sharing household tasks

* some getaway time without business or children

* daily exchanges (a meal, shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note)

* sharing common goals and interests

* giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure

* giving each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment

* asking God to be the center of your relationship

If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty and pain replace the passion.

"As long as we have memories, yesterday remains. As long as we have hope,
tomorrow awaits. As long as we have friendship, today is beautiful."

Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, and the romance in a relationship and find out that you still care for that person.

NAK BALIK!!!

oleh kerana its raining cats and dogs outside... and i think im gonna be stuck here in the office
-_- for at least another hour... so i decided to post this joke up... for the sake of staying awake!

Once, there was a man who was upset by his past deeds that he decided to visit a church and confess all of his sins. When he arrived at the church, he walked to the confession area and spoke to the pastor.

"Father, I am sinful."
"Yes son, just tell me what have you done, the Lord will forgive you."

"Father, I have a steady relationship with my girlfriend, it's been 3 years and nothing serious ever happened between us. Yesterday, I visited her house, nobody was at home except for her sister. We were alone and I slept with her."

"That's bad my boy, fortunately you realize your mistake."

"Father, last week I went to her office to look for her, but nobody was around except for one of her colleagues, so I slept with her too."

"That's not very good of you."

"Father, last month, I went to her uncle's house to look for her, nobody was around except for her auntie, and I slept with her too."

"Father? ......... Father?" suddenly this guy realized that there was no response from the Father, he walked over and discovered that the Pastor was not there. So he began searching for him.

"Father? Where are you?"

He searched high and low, and finally he found him hiding under the table behind the piano.

"Father, why are you hiding here?" "Sorry son, suddenly I remembered there is nobody around here except me."

mcm not-so-funny.... but i laughed anyway... coz im sleepy and a bit bored!and i need it!!

was your weekend any good?

mine was okay... a lot of eating though.. damn!

i joined celebrity fitness... another gym... again
for those who knows me only too well
i WILL stay there for more than 3 months -_-
betullah... dont believe issit...
Mr Bf is there to ensure that i DO
tak percaya... tanya die okayssss...

which is in 2 days time... (excluding flyday kay..)

healthy( ?) weekend

i had a rather "healthy" weekend in all weekends so far this year

normally... my weekends are usually filled with house chores, weddings, TV, window shopping and chilling with Mr Bf... but this weekend... there was still a wedding to attend annnddd... i actually played futsal that night. i actually ran around the court just in case you guys thought i was "warming the benches"... and i kicked the ball too k. so that was saturday... Mr Bf din play coz he's injured from the accident he had a few days ago. his knee is blue, black, red and yellow... eeewwww.... but i love you anyway...

then sunday... i went to the gym. i need to lose the flab around my tummy for perhentian. and FAST too...

so today... my lower body aches... my kaki is very lenguh... damn! i cant cross my legs properly. i literally have to carry one leg over the other -_-

anyhow... that was my weekend amidst the chores that i tried to avoid doing (but failed miserably), watching TV and sleeping.

OH! and i found out that the yoga instructor din win.. i am sad for here...

i have nothing else to write...

im having chocolates... oh la la la

and its raining... yet again...

for the LOVE of my LIFE

LOVE & LIFE

This story tells us something about LOVE & LIFE.

My husband is an engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.

Two years of courtship and now, five years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.

I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings. I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband is my complete opposite; his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about LOVE.

One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.

"Why?" he asked, shocked.

"I am tired. There are no reasons for everything in the world!" I answered.

He kept silent the whole night, seemingly in deep thought. My feeling of disappointment only increased. Here was a man who was not able to even express his predicament, so what else could I expect from him?

And finally he asked me: "What can I do to change your mind?"

Somebody said it right... It's hard to change a person's personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.

Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered: "Here is the question. If you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind.

Let's say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death.

Will you do it for me?"

He said: "I will give you your answer tomorrow...." My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes....

My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you, but....please allow me to explain the reasons further.....

This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading.

"When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen. I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.

You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.

You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city. I have to save my eyes to show you the way.

You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approaches every month. I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.

You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.

You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes. I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you
enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand...and tell you the colour of flowers, just like the colour of the glow on your young face...

Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die ... "

My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting... and as I continue on reading... "Now, that you have finished reading my answer, and if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk...

I rushed to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread....Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone...

That's LIFE, and LOVE.

When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.

Love shows up in all forms; even in very small and cheeky forms. It has never been a model. It could be the dullest and most boring form

Flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands...

AND THAT'S LIFE

"There is some self-interest behind every friendship.
There is no friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth."

The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to live with things that are less than perfect.

The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established.

"is yours like him?"

i hope mine is

the window-shopper...and the boy-next-door

THIS IS ME

The Window Shopper
Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDf)

Loving, hopeful, open. Likely to carry on an romance from afar. You are The Window Shopper.

You take love as opportunities come, which can lead to a high-anxiety, but high-flying romantic life. You're a genuinely sweet person, not saccharine at all, so it's likely that the relationships you have had and will have will be happy ones. You've had a fair amount of love experience for your age, and there'll be much more to come.

Your exact opposite:
The Stiletto

Deliberate Brutal Sex Master
Part of why we know this is that, of all female types, you are the most prone to sudden, ferocious crushes. Your results indicate that you're especially capable of obsessing over a guy you just met. Obviously, passion like this makes for an intense existence. It can also make for soul-destroying letdowns.

Your ideal match is someone who'll love you back with equal fire, and someone you've grown to love slowly. A self-involved or pessimistic man is especially bad. Though you're drawn to them, avoid artists at all costs.

BEWARE: The Hornivore

CONSIDER: The Gentleman, The Loverboy, The Boy Next Door

I LOVE YOU LONG LONG TIME...

THIS IS HIM

The Boy Next Door
Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDm)

Kind, yearning, playful, you are The Boy Next Door. You're looking for real Love, a lot like girls do. It might not be manly, but it's sweet.

We think the next three years will be very exciting and fruitful ones for you. Your spontaneous, creative side makes you a charming date, and we think you have a horny side just waiting to shine. Or glisten, rather. You enter new relationships unusually hopeful, and the first moments are especially glorious. If you've had some things not work out before, so what.

Your exact opposite:
The 5-Night Stand

Deliberate Brutal Sex Master
On paper, most girls would name the Boy Next Door as their ideal mate. In the real world, however, you're often passed over for more dangerous or masculine men. You're the typical "nice guy:" without just a touch of cockiness, you're doomed with girls. A shoulder to cry on? Okay, sure. But never a penis to hold.

More than any other type, Boys Next Door evolve as they get older. As we said, many find true love, but some fail miserably in the search. These tarnished few grow up to be The Men Next Door, who are creepy as hell, offering backrubs to kids and what not.

ALWAYS AVOID: The Nymph

CONSIDER: The Maid of Honor, The Peach

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO BAGAK

after years (2 years je... hehe) of birthday smses to you.. "happy birthday bagak!"
this year its "happy birthday sayang!"
heheh.. who would've thought!

birthday surprise jadi... thank god... nasib baik
if not penat je, rush from work to get his birthday cuppacakes, komplot with my mom to cut short our dinner (which was fabulous even though it was short) and send me all the way to subang at 11pm, komplot with his sister to surprise him... nasib baik jadi ok!

heheh... the plan was to have the usual sing-song happy birthday but with yours truly as the surprise. and so, i decided to komplot his sister to make sure that he wont be anywhere near his house before 12. almost tak jadi ok... coz he wanted to have dinner with me and then lepak-chill until 12am. and that's where my mom helped. had to use her... make up some story so that he'll go home. then komplot-ed with his fren to lepak with him until 11ish. then i went to his place... brought cute and yummy cuppacakes! then we suplised him! yay!

before the surprise, we had dinner at Alexis, Bangsar... it was nice. to dress up and have dinner like that. we chatted... took loads of vain photos.. im getting better at using a SLR... heheh ... perasa-an only. credits goes to Mr Bf for being patient with my ultra-nonsense-sometimes-stupid photograhy questions... anyhow.. dinner was nice. dessert was better but the best thing was having it with him and in a relaxed mood too!

next day, we went to watch Shooter, which was good. mark wahlberg was good... i dont fancy all these fighting-fighting-shooting-shooting movie but i have to make an exception for this one and the leonardo dicaprio movie...oh yeah.. Blood Diamond. tu pun best giler!

so that was his birthday do i did for him... heheh...

MAN U 7 and ROMA 1... Mr Bf is OVERjoyed... accident pun boleh lupa nak cite... all coz Man U won! aduh... well, its a good thing they won too..if not, they would out from the Champion's League and i will be facing a very sulky boy... so nasib baik menang.. yayay!

ok.. back to me...
i went to the gym yesterday... im pooped today...
woke up late... damn!
